Optimal generation capacity mix in microgrid to meet demand

<p>This paper presents an approach for optimal generation capacity mix to fulfill future power demand using a micro-grid model which is operated in both the on-grid and off-grid modes. This achieved solar photovoltaic (PV) system, fuel-cell, battery energy storage system (BESS) with without grid-connected mode. Different control approaches size of generators are presented. Proposed micro grid PV solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) back scattered electron detector (BESD) tested different operational scenarios loads. Comparative index performance (CIP) introduced indicate effectiveness operations based on difference total harmonic distortions (THD) established that CIP indicates works efficiently off- modes during simulated events switching ON/OFF loads at test conditions.
